This is a heavily textured multi medium artwork that was inspired by New Zealands love of 'black', the dense native bush, flax fronds and a renaissance look at midcentury ceramic patterns. Diagonal rays of light stream through the work and textured patterns criss-cross using both matt and shiny surfaces to create an artwork that hovers between sculptural and two  dimensional artwork.
